ABOUT ME

I strive to create a space where people feel emotionally safe and supported from the beginning and challenged throughout the process. With over 10 years of experience, my work in both community and private settings has allowed me to gain valuable experience, knowledge, and sensitivity towards people of varied socioeconomic statuses, cultural communities, and the LGBTQ community. The only way for someone to really do the necessary work to see change in their lives is when they feel safe within the therapeutic relationship-free of judgement and prejudice.

I am an OPQ licensed psychotherapist (L’Ordre de Psychologues du Quebec), and a certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and the Canadian Association of Cognitive behavioural therapies (CACBT).

HOW I CAN HELP YOU

Psychotherapy receipts for private healthcare insurance are provided. Before scheduling an appointment, please ask your insurance provider if services rendered by a licensed Psychotherapist are covered. I can also issue receipts under naturpath/naturotherapy. Unclaimed fees are tax deductible.

Therapy is never a one-size-fits-all kind of deal, so I believe that drawing upon varied approaches is what makes it successful. I use treatments based on empirically tested theoretical models that are supported by the OPQ, and work collaboratively to tailor my approach to the individual, based on your own needs and personality.

It’s not easy to reveal your inner self to someone you've just met. It’s also not easy to face the difficulties with which you’re struggling, and acknowledge that it may be time to consult a trained professional for some help. I know that the consideration of therapy is a difficult step for many to take, but it is one that demonstrates tremendous strength and courage. The most difficult step is doing the research and finding a therapist you connect with and who has the training and expertise to help you. Once that’s done, you’re on the road to change and growth.
